Measure Map getting closer?
It seems like yesterday that Google announced their purchase of Measure Map, a great statistics tool for bloggers. I remember thinking to myself, "Why would Google buy Measure Map when they already had Google Analytics?", but I have come to realize through using Google Analytics all the time, it’s a bit heavy-weight for something like blogs. You usually don’t have to track conversions or the plethora of other things it can — it’s simply too much information.
A lighter, more specialized tracking service seems like a good way to go — and that’s where Measure Map comes in. There’s not a whole lot of news to report on that front, except Vijay saw today that the domains measuremap.net/org now point to Google. Could this mean it’s getting closer to the launch date? If nothing else, it’s confirmation they are still working on it.
