Gdrive client leaked
The Windows client for Gdrive, or Platypus as it is known internally, has been leaked to Google blogger Philipp Lenssen. He is unable to get past the login screen with his username or password, but now we have physical proof of the product that first got me blogging about Google and was accidentally mentioned in a PowerPoint presentation made by Eric Schmidt.
Philipp posts a mirrored copy of the help page for Windows and Linux, a configuration file and screenshot of the contents of its folder. As he notes in his blog, it appears to be only used internally, and isn't ready for public release. From reading the help pages though, I get the sense it is a very active project — and that's why I refuse to believe it will never be available to the public.
