Google Finance gives us a new chart

In what seems to be an attempt to catch up to Yahoo! Finance, Google has rolled out a new version of their stock chart.  The new version has a couple new features — but nothing new if we're looking at existing products.

In this latest release, we can now compare stocks — clicking "compare" shows you a list of related stock symbols to choose from, or you can enter your own.

Besides the new comparison feature, you can also customize some display settings for the charts.  These settings include news flags, dividends, splits, volume, default zoom and verticle scale.

In agreement with Ionut from Google Operating System, Yahoo seems to have the superior product right now, though it will be interesting to see a side by side comparison a couple years from now.
