Google and Apple at MacWorld Expo?

It is a bit strange that Google was a no-show at CES this year — could they just be holding out for the MacWorld Expo starting tomorrow?

I have been thinking a lot about the iTV — Apple's media server they are expected to announce.  The specifics of this product aren't known, and we probably won't know until Steve Jobs' keynote.

Google and Apple are definitely working together on the product, but it's not known to what extent.  Some people have speculated that the iTV will stream videos from YouTube or Google Video, and I tend to agree — but is that all?

After hearing the announcement from Microsoft about the Windows Home Server and it's feature set, I started to wonder if iTV will directly compete.  I am specifically talking about the central storage and backup functionality it provides.

On the prototype of the Apple iTV, we saw there was a USB 2.0 port — it remains a mystery.  What could it be used for?  Why is it there?  It's purpose has been pondered, but nobody really knows.  Could it be the way this product connects to an array of disks to rival the product announced by Microsoft yesterday?

If so, the time would be right for the launch of GDrive as a connector between connected computers and the network storage iTV provides.  The statement "Infinite Storage" would sure make a lot more sense if this was the case, wouldn't it?
