Google heard Aaron Stanton
Aaron Stanton, the guy who documented his quest for Google's attention, is expected to make an announcement in four days. It appears that Google has heard him — if we are to believe a new domain he registered after the announcement of his intention to make an announcement:
Aaron Stanton likes to write. His personal website, dreamwithme.net, explains his passion.
Probably the least interesting to everyone else, and the most interesting to me, here you'll find informaition on me as an author. One or two short stories, some info about me, and (ugg) maybe an old poem or two.
His website also links to thenovelproject.com — a website for a project he began many years ago. Unfortunately, it looks like a squatter now has the domain — or does it? No, it's still owned by Aaron, but it's been mysteriously replaced by a temporary website. The archive could give us a hint about what his idea for Google actually is.
a powerful tool for writers. By analyzing published novels and breaking them down into detailed statistics, then graphing those statistics scene-by-scene, we allow authors to better understand their craft in a way never before possible. You already know to start your book with a high interest scene, but do you know what to do with the scenes after that?
Now, this seems like an interesting idea — but I don't know where it would really fit in for Google. Maybe the idea could be modified a bit to become an interesting statistical analysis tool that helps Google break down the content of books. This would make it possible to search for "concepts" rather than simply "content" — who knows?
