3D buildings on Google Maps
If you look close, you will notice that there are 3D wireframes of buildings now available on Google Maps for some locations. You still cannot rotate or tilt the view, but it's looking more like Google Earth all the time. True, Microsoft already has a "Google Earth" for the browser, but it requires Internet Explorer and the performance is sub par — bordering on unusable.

The changes Google makes to products always seem to have performance in mind — the new 3D buildings do not seem to add any additional overhead. I am hoping one day all the features we find in Google Earth will be available in Google Maps — and the way it looks, they are moving in that direction.
