The Ultimate Time Management System

For years now, I’ve been looking for the perfect time management system, one that would let me answer the question “When can you get me this project (or story in my case)?” I tried DayTimer, but it didn’t do it for me. Covey was better in theory, but the Covey add-on for Outlook was way too buggy for my tastes. Ecco was a fabulous outliner, but did little for time management. Packrat was too complex. The list goes on.

All I wanted was something that let me proceed through these steps:

1. Outline the project

2. Create a standard time-schedule for the week that carves the 168 hours of the week into chunks for works, family, exercise etc.

3. Each week decide how much time I want to allocate to each give project

4. Block out times in the week for those projects

5. Track my performance to see how I fare against those expectations

6. Assess my overall performance to see where my expectations were realistic and where they weren’t so I can plan better next time.

Bottom line was that none of the time management programs out there got close to doing those six steps that is all except one.Achieve Planner by Effexis Software, LLC. It’s not the prettiest planner on the market and it’s missing a mobile component, but to my mind for a consultant, writer or anyone who’s working on lots of projects, its the best on the market today. Take a look and tell me if you agree.

If you’re as swayed by the package as I am, tell me, If you want to drop down the money to buy it, first let me know at dave@stanalytics.com and I’ll arrange a discount.

It’s that good.

I agree with your evaluation and I have put down the money for it - too late for the discount, but thanks.
I am hoping to load the software on Fujitsu tablet as my semi-mobile solution.... (Read the rest)
