While at SIIA OnDemand Europe, I met with Jeremy Roche, CEO of CODA. CODA is the first company to build a substantial accounting application on the Force.com platform called CODA2go.

In this 8 minute video, Jeremy explains why the company took the decision to make saas investments, details why they chose to go with the Force.com platform and provides some glimpses into the kinds of business that are interested in this style of computing.

Offline, I asked what might happen if Salesforce.com is acquired. Jeremy was adamant it would make no difference because Salesforce.com has so many partners it would be difficult for an acquiree to disturb the model without risking the business.

[Disclosure: CODA2go sponsors my personal weblog]
