AMD had 21.4% of CPU market in Q4 2005
Mercury Research will announce next week that AMD accounted for 21.4% of all x86 desktop, notebook and server processors that were shipped in Q4 2005. AMD gained from 17.7% in Q3 2005. Intel and AMD accounted for 98.6% of the x86 processor market in Q3 2005. AMD’s desktop processor share went from 20.4% in Q3 2005 to 24.3% in Q4 2005, and its mobile share went from 12.2% to 15.1%.
