Enterprise router revenue reached $859 mln in Q3 2005
Worldwide enterprise router revenue totaled $859 mln in Q3 2005, up 8% over Q2 2005 and 3% over Q3 2004. Unit shipments are up 3% sequentially and 27% annually. Secure router revenue jumped 21% between Q2 2005 and Q3 2005, and has more than doubled since Q3 2004. Cisco dominates the worldwide enterprise router market with 80% revenue market share and 71% unit share. Allied Telesyn remains in second place for worldwide enterprise router unit market share, followed by 3Com, and Nortel maintains second position in worldwide revenue share, followed by Vanguard, Infonetics reported.
