People check e-mail 5 times a day on average

AOL says most of the people check their mail about five times a day, and 25% cannot go without e-mail for more than three days at a stretch. 77% of respondents to the survey said they have more than one e-mail account. For 41% accessing e-mail is the first thing they do in the morning. 60% check e-mail while on vacation. 47%, said they check their personal e-mail at work, albeit sporadically. 32% admitted they would give their e-mail address to a new acquaintance, compared with 37% and 28% of participants who expressed a willingness to part with their home and mobile numbers, respectively.
