Music player market shares: Apple - 73.7%, SanDisk - 9%

According to data from NPD Group, Apple owns 73.7% of the retail MP3 player market with the recent milestone of 100 mln iPods sold reached on April 9th, 2007. SanDisk owns 9% of the device market, followed by Creative with 3.3%, Microsoft with 2.3% and Samsung with 2.2%.
