Global PC shipments up 8.9% in Q1 2007
Gartner said that HP had worldwide Q1 2007 PC shipments of 11 mln units for 17.6% of the market. HP’s shipments rose by almost 29% from Q1 2006. Dell saw its shipments fall almost 8% from Q1 2006, to 8.7 mln units. Dell’s results gave it a 13.9% market share. The worldwide top five was filled out by Acer, with 6.8%, Lenovo Group, with 6.3%, and Toshiba, which claimed 4.1%. Gartner said that total worldwide shipments rose 8.9% to 62.7 mln units in Q1 2007.
