DVD player penetration in the US is between 85% and 90%
The penetration of standard DVD players in US households is between 85% and 90%, with more than 50% of these homes owning two or more DVD players. In June 2007, there were only 1.8 mln high-def DVD players of any kind in use in the US, The Diffusion Group said.
