NAND flash demand to increase by 130% in 2008

Demand for NAND flash is expected to increase by 130% YTY, according to DRAMeXchange. Supply bit growth is expected to be 130-140% in 2008. Demand from mobile handset makers is expected to increase by just over 10% YTY to be worth $1.23 bln. MP3/PMP devices will grow by 20% to be worth $200 mln, followed by USB flash drives, which will grow by 25% YTY to be worth $170 mln.
