52% of Web traffic to Q&A Web sites is from females

Females accounted for 52% of all the US visits to the top five Question and Answer websites for the week ending Mar. 15, 2008. The majority of these visits came from users between the ages of 35-44, 24%, followed by users 25-34 with 21%, Hitwise reports. The average visit time increased 44% comparing the week ending Mar. 15, 2008 versus the week ending Mar. 17, 2007. Yahoo! Answers led among the top five Question and Answer websites with users spending an average of 9 minutes and 9 seconds on the website.
