Electronic design automation revenues up 2% in Q2 2004

Q2 EDA license and maintenance revenue was up just 2% YTY, with most of the growth was in the Pacific Rim. According to EDA Consortium, total EDA revenue for Q2 was $993 mln, a 4% YTY increase. But that figure includes semiconductor intellectual property, which was boosted by the addition of new companies to the report, and services, which was up 11% YTY. Geographically, North American revenues increased by 4% to $523 mln, European revenues increased by 4% to $180 mln and Japanese revenues decreased by 5% to $176 mln.
