CCD market shares: Sony - 41%, Matsushita - 14.6%, Sharp - 13.8%
Sony dominates the market for CCD chips, which last year generated $1.04 bln in revenues for the firm. With 41% of the market, Sony is three times bigger than its nearest rivals, Matsushita Electric Industrial, with 14.6%, and Sharp with 13.8%, according to market research firm iSuppli.
