40% of North American new broadband subscriptions were DSL
ABI Research says DSL subscriptions are quickly outstripping cable subscriptions in all regions of the world except North America. Even in North America, DSL’s share of new subscribers has grown from 29% to 40% in 2004, while elsewhere, consumers are signing on for DSL at up to double the rate of cable.
