Online holiday sales were up 22% in Q4 2003

Online shopping search engine BizRate reports that online retail sales in the US totaled $55.93 billion in 2003, with holiday sales in particular reaching $8.59 billion. BizRate defines the holiday season as the period from 25 November to 25 December, noting that Q4 online retail sales in 2003 hit $18.38 billion, rising by 22% over Q4 2002.
