According to the Dell’Oro Group, the worldwide mobility infrastructure market grew by 33% between Q3 and Q4 2003, generating revenues of $8.9 billion last quarter. However, the mobility infrastructure market ended last year slightly down from 2002 at $28.7 billion. Dell’Oro notes that the quarter-to-quarter growth for the market can be attributed primarily to WCDMA infrastructure, which grew by 50% between Q3 and Q4 to $1.1 billion. Nortel in particular experienced significant growth with a rise of 169%, while Nokia followed with a 90% growth in WDCMA infrastructure revenues.
