100-150 ZigBee chips in every house by 2007

Fuelled by a rapid rise in home networking, ZigBee IEEE 802.15.4 revenues will rocket by 3400% in the next four years, according to Frost & Sullivan. ZigBee chipset sales reached $18.8 mln in 2004. Revenues are projected to reach $700 mln in 2008. Within the next two to three years, a minimum of 100 to 150 ZigBee chips are anticipated to be present in every home.
