Corporate WiFi market leaders: Cisco, Symbol, Airespace, Proxim, 3Com
Synergy Research says worldwide sales of enterprise wireless LAN gear were worth $320.7 mln in Q3 2004, a jump of nearly 28% compared to last year. Cisco Systems holds the top spot with nearly 43% market share. Symbol Technologies maintains 2nd spot with a 15.9% market share. Wireless LAN switch startup Airespace has grabbed third place from Proxim with a 5.7% share. Proxim is tied for fourth place with 3Com: each company has a 4.4% piece of the corporate WiFi market.
