Australian PC market declines 8% in Q3 2004

After seeing a record performance in Q2 2004 Australian PC market declined by 8% QTQ, but saw a 20% increase YTY in Q3 2004. Desktop PC market contributed to the majority of the decline in the overall market as it fell by 10% from Q2 2004. The notebook market saw a slight decline of 1% from Q2 2004. Over the past year the Australian market has increasingly adopted the notebook form factor which is a major factor to the continued decline in the desktop PC market.
