Advertising revenues of community sites up 214% in June 2005
General community Web sites, led by MySpace, made the largest YTY leap in advertising revenues, and attracted $33 mln with a 214% growth. Health and fitness grew 80% in estimated revenue to more than $4.5 mln, and business Web sites took in $12.6 mln, rising 46% as compared to June 2004. Estimated spending reflects CPM-based online advertising only, and excludes search-based advertising, paid fee services and other online promotions.
