Embedded Linux powered 13.7% of smartphones shipped worldwide in Q1 2005, up 412% from 3.4% in Q1 2004, according to Gartner. Windows Mobile smaprtphone shipments also grew, rising 50% from 2.9% in Q1 2004 to 4.5% in Q1 2005.
