Asian-Pacific PC sales up 18% in the first half of 2005
PC sales in Asia Pacific excluding Japan increased by 18% to 18.8 mln units in the first half of 2005 from the first half of 2004, Gartner said. Mobile PC (including tablets) sales increased 40.4% to a record 3.9 mln units. Mobile PCs accounted for 21% of overall computer sales in the first half of 2005, up from 18% in 2004. Desktop sales grew 13.2% to 14.9 mln units in the first-half of 2005.
