European VC investments down 34% in Q2 2005
European venture capitalists invested 34% less money in startups in Q2 2005 as VCs chose to fund only their most promising companies, according to VentureOne study published by Red Herring. VCs in Europe put $907 mln into 203 startups, down from $1.38 bln in 318 companies in Q2 2004.
