Western European security appliance market up 27% in Q2 2005
During Q2 2005, close to 102,000 security appliance units were shipped in Western Europe, according to IDC. This was the first time quarterly unit shipments of security appliances in the region exceeded 100,000, following growth of 27% over Q2 2004 and 7% over Q1 2005. Revenue generated from Q2 2005 security appliance sales was around $170 mln, an increase of 17% over Q2 2004 and a decrease of 3.0% over Q1 2005.
