$5.39 bln of venture capital funds raised in Q3 2005

Investments in US venture capital firms jumped 62% in Q1-Q3 2005 over Q1-Q3 2004. VCs raised some $17.3 bln, surpassing the total for all of 2004 in just three quarters. In Q3 2005 45 firms raised investment funds worth $5.39 bln, up 11.6% from the $4.83 bln that 54 firms raised in Q3 2004, National Venture Capital Association said.
