VC funding for Silicon Valley companies: 161 in Q1 2005, 163 in Q2 20095, 187 in Q3 2005
$2.027 bln was invested by venture capitalists in Silicon Valley companies in Q3 2005, 5.6% growth from Q2 2005. Some 187 companies were funded in Q3 2005, up from 173 in Q2 2005 and 161 in Q1 2005, VentureOne reports.
