Server shipments up 11% in Q1 2005

Worldwide server shipments rose 11% in Q1 2005 compared to Q1 2004, to over 1,745,000 units. Revenue grew by 4% over the same period, to $12.3 bln. IBM, Hewlett-Packard, Dell and Sun Microsystems captured almost four-fifths of the revenue, according to Gartner.
