Visa: $3.9 bln spent on Friday after Thanksgiving
Visa said that total spending on its branded credit cards on the Friday after Thanksgiving grew about 14% from in 2004 to more than $3.9 bln. Spending on personal entertainment led the retail category, followed by spending at specialty retail stores and home-and-garden purchases.
