Top search engines in October 2005: Google - 47.7%, Yahoo! - 21.8%, MSN - 11.3%
Nielsen//NetRatings reported the volume of Internet search queries growing to more than 5.1 bln in October 2005, up 15% from five months ago. Ask Jeeves led as the fastest growing search player out of the top five search engines, skyrocketing 77% in search volume, while Google maintained its leader position with the largest market share of nearly half of all searches, or 48%, by generating 2.4 bln requests.
