31.6 mln mobile phones sold in Q3 2005
According to The NPD Group, mobile phone sales to consumers in the US reached 31.6 mln units in Q3 2005. This number represents solid incremental growth of seven% from Q2 2005 sales volume of 29.6 mln units and an increase of more than 30% compared to sales duringQ3 2004. NPD estimates total Q3 2005 consumer sales of slightly more than $2 bln.
