Nimbuzz for IM and free international calls

Oliver Starr has a post at MobileCrunch about Nimbuzz, a mobile application that brings instant messaging on a number of networks (Google Talk, MSN/Live Messenger, and Nimbuzz) and free (or nearly free) international calling and text/SMS messaging to your cell phone. I've just installed the app – a seamless OTA (over the air) experience – on my Nokia N93 and look forward to building out my contact list to try both the IM and calling features. Oliver's post goes into greater depth on how the service works and, from his description, I must say it does like a viable alternative to paying international rates to your cellular provider.

Nimbuzz also supports mobile-to-PC and PC-to-mobile calling.
