WordPress is the clear leader in blog platforms
At least according to this poll being conducted at the ecto web site. The results below are based on 9000+ votes recorded. I can in no way attest to the amount of ballot stuffing going on here - the poll does put a cookie in your browser after you vote but that's pretty simple to get around if you're of a mind to.

That's a very impressive showing. ecto, BTW, is a great cross-platform offline blogging tool that connects to WordPress and a wide variety of other blog platforms. Well worth checking out if, like me, you prefer to write first, then post.
