Now this is an Origami device worthy of the name

This intriguing play on the UMPC form factor showed up in The Register. Not always the most reliable source for hard news, I know, but since this a rumored device I figured it was OK to mention. The whole thing folds to about the size of a CD case. Nice variation on the theme and worthy of the Origami moniker I think. Here’s hoping they actually pursue something like this. When foldable or rollable displays become viable you could thoretically have a full width display with even less bulk.

That was a cool idea
Which I've seen elsewhere (but darned if I can remember where at the moment).

MIT is actually working on a display technology like that and I think it may very well be the next big step forward in ubiquitous computing.... (Read the rest)
