BuzzLogic reaches a milestone

You'll have to forgive my indulging in writing about a company I helped to start, but today's a good day. It was almost three years ago that Todd Parsons and I sat in a sushi place on Chestnut Street in San Francisco and talked about how the measurement of social media would require many more dimensions of information than the mass media. We began working with Brian Field-Eilliot, who moved on, and Jeff Glover, our coding rock.

Today, BuzzLogic, the company that began during that conversation, closed its A round after bootstrapping through two difficult years and working with angel funding during 2006. Adams Capital Management, Ackerley Partners and Transcosmos Investments & Business Development participated, along with some of our angels, notably Bob Ellis, who introduced Todd and I at our previous company.

I'm incredibly proud of the people at BuzzLogic, as they have put themselves into this company wholeheartedly. From CEO Rob Crumpler, CMO Bob Schettino, and engineers  Will Kessler and Kurt Freytag, who joined us in 2005, to the latest additions to the team, everyone has made sacrifices to get BuzzLogic where it is today. Yes, it's still only a beginning, but just you wait.
