Updated November 5, 2009: Phil Wainewright’s work as an independent consultant brings him into direct or indirect business relationships with several of the companies that he writes about, or their competitors. Phil is committed to maintaining the independent and opinionated stance that his writings are well known for and does not enter into contracts that would limit his freedom of expression in any way. However it is important in the interests of full disclosure to inform readers of those relationships so they can form their own judgement. This page therefore lists all Phil’s current business relationships.
Phil Wainewright is a co-owner and director of Procullux Ventures, a privately-held consultancy business. Procullux provides consultancy services to companies primarily in the on-demand sector, advising on marketing messages, positioning and business strategies. It also owns, through a subsidiary, the Loosely Coupled website. Current and recent Procullux clients are:

- Rearden Commerce — Phil wrote a white paper about Rearden’s business services infrastructure.

Phil also writes a blog on The Connected Web for eBizQ, and is paid for his time to moderate or participate in occasional webinars and online discussions sponsored by vendors on the site. He occasionally participates in BriefingsDirect podcasts sponsored by vendors.
Phil was retained by the SIIA to develop the OnDemand Europe 2009 conference in Amsterdam in June. He also serves on the steering committee for the SIIA’s On Demand Summit to be held in San Jose in October this year, and attends as a speaker.
Phil is a member of the advisory board and was a keynote speaker at GLUE Conference this May in Denver.
SAP paid Phil’s flight and accommodation expenses to attend SAPPHIRE Berlin in May 2008.
