Firefox spyware scanning

I’ve always liked Yahoo’s toolbar for Internet Explorer because it incorporates PestPatrol, making spyware scanning quick and convenient from the browser. But I don’t use Internet Explorer when I can help it. I use Firefox. For people like me, Yahoo just released its toolbar as an extension for Firefox, including the same features as the Internet Explorer version. When I installed it, though, I did encounter a few oddities. For one, when I open Firefox, I get a second little browser window called Dialog Placeholder. I use Firefox because I don’t like pop-ups, so I don’t know why Yahoo’s giving me one. Second, the first time you click the Anti-Spy button on the toolbar, you’ll have to download and install the branded version of PestPatrol used by Yahoo. Still, it makes free, solid spyware removal very accessible.
