180solutions and Winston Churchill

What do 180solutions and Churchill have in common? Absolutely nothing that I can see. However, 180solutions evidently thinks otherwise. CEO Keith Smith said in an interview here with Seattle Bizwomen.com: (Btw, if you are drinking your morning coffee while reading this, be sure to swallow before reading the article.)

"We had a problem," he said, referring to the botnets and worms that appeared within the firm’s Zango software. "We screwed up and have worked hard to fix it." 180Solutions is now working to communicate the results of the firm’s "naivete" through an aggressive public relations campaign based on the exhortations by none other than Winston Churchill.

Alex Eckelberry at SunbeltBLOG says Winston Churchill rolls in his grave.

No doubt.

Churchill or not, if 180solutions worked half as hard to clean up their distribution channels as they work at their "aggressive public relations campaign", perhaps we wouldn’t have this page.
