Silverlight Dev Camp and Vancouver Flex Camp

There are a couple of events worth mentioning that are going on in the rich internet application world. The first is this week, the 30th, in Vancouver, British Columbia. It’s a RIA/Flex Camp at which I’ll be speaking. I’ll be covering how to build an AIR application in Flex, but other topics include using Flex with Ruby, the Caringorm Framework and image manipulation in AS3 among others. It should be a great event and it runs from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM at the SFU Harbour Centre.

The second is a two day Bar Camp-style Silverlight Dev Camp in San Francisco which looks really cool. It’s being hosted by Kurt Brockett from IdentityMine and Kevin Marshall. It’s going to be from September 14th through the 15th and I know they’re looking for people to help out. I’m going to try to be down in SF for this event because I think it’s going to be a good way to get up to speed on Silverlight. They want to cover general Silverlight topics as well as things like the Dynamic Language Runtime and Moonlight, so it should offer a lot for everyone.

Update: Fixed the link, sorry about that.
