Not so jolly Rogers: BlackBerry 8800 may be delayed

For weeks now, BlackBerry-maker Research In Motion has been saying that the new BlackBerry 8800- available on Cingular (as you see) for a couple of weeks now- will be available to Canadian customers on Rogers Wireless beginning tomorrow.

Well, no word to the contrary, but rumors to that effect.

BlackBerry Cool has obtained a memo sent out by a BlackBerry application specialist for Rogers:

"Sorry for the 11th hour news, but this just in," the memo reads. "We’ve just confirmed that the BlackBerry 8800 will NOT be launching tomorrow morning as previously planned. We expect this to be a short delay and that the sku will be open asap. Please pay close attention to the Hardware Flyer for this product as it will be released before the Sales Bulletin."

Leaked memos. We bloggers love 'em.
