What do Courtney Love, Mick Jagger, President Bush, Robert Redford and Julia Roberts have in common?

Precious little, except for the fact that each has recently stayed in a location where BlackBerry and mobile phone service is impossible.

According to the (U.K). Guardian:

In Mexico, Courtney Love and Robert Redford have both stayed (um, not together) at the Mahakua-Hacienda de San Antonio in Colima. You are looking at it on the right.

An active volcano blocks cell signals.

In west Texas, Mick Jagger and Julia Roberts have stayed at the Cibolo Creek Ranch, in Marfa. No cell.

President Bush has stayed at the Wuksachi Lodge, in the Sequoia National Park in California. No cell there either. But since the President of the U.S. can't be out of touch (at least from a technological standpoint), arrangements were made to string 100 extra, and teomporary phone lines to be run into the property.
