BlackBerry Cool’s Jibi’s gotten a hold of some code that more than implies BlackBerry is gearing up for Flash compatibility.

Jibi notes that in the httpcontenttranscoderslist.xml file, found in the MDS (Mobile Data Service 4.1.2 simulator’s config directory,  he found some code that leads him to believe that Flash support is in development by RIM.

“When that’ll happen has to be anyone’s guess, but this could potentially be quite huge, especially with the ever-increasing loss of interest in the SVG format. ”

The implication, Jibi argues, is that the more available Flash will be to BlackBerry developers, that the demise of RIM’s proprietary (and rather limited) Plazmic platform will be hastened.
