blackblackberrycurve.jpg First of all, chill. That’s a mock-up.

BlackBerry Cool was contacted last night by what BBC’s Doug Soltys terms a a friend who works for a prominent BlackBerry Alliance member.

Doug notes that this friend told him about a black-colored BlackBerry Curve that may well be in development.

Doug opines this could be a test or trial unit. BlackBerry often sends these mock-ups to Alliance partners for design reactions, real-world usage testing, and sometimes both.

Because the Curve- like the BlackBerry Pearl- is more design-driven than most other BBs, I tend to go along with the assumption that this black BlackBerry Curve will eventually see the light of day in a multi-colored inventory of Curves similar in nature to the multi-colored Pearls.
