“Stick together?”

Not Monday afternoon.

Failure of a component in a router led to slightly less than two hours of lost e-mail service for BlackBerry customers on T-Mobile USA’s network west of the Mississippi River yesterday.

T-Mobile spokesperson Peter Dobrow said the router failure affected service from around 4 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. Pacific Daylight Time.

Since the router component only handles BlackBerry emails, no other T-Mobile services were affected.

Brings back memories of that 14-hour shutdown earlier this year.
