My Awesome IT Job: Web developer, Martha Stewart, Webmaster, Emeril Lagasse
Hey, we all complain about work from time to time; we’ve all had lousy jobs. But before you call it a day and head off to the support group that meets at the bar, here are a few words from an IT pro that loves their work.

Name: Terrance Pitre
Location: New York, New York and New Orleans, Louisiana
Profession and specialization: I’m a Web Developer at Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia and the Webmaster for Emerils.com. I specialize in User Interface Design and Development
Hobby: I’m a BIG foodie. I love trying new and exotic cuisines and places to eat. Being from New Orleans helped me get introduced early on to different types of food and I guess it just stuck to me.
Last book read: The Complete Worst-Case Scenario Handbook
Latest accomplishment: Committing to a gym (see hobby for why)
Toughest technology lesson learned: My Advanced Network Administration class was the toughest to sit through.
Advice to an up-and-comer: This may be obvious, but if you’re stuck on a specific problem that’s been bugging you for what seems like hours, TAKE A BREAK! I can get so consumed piece of code that my train of thought begins to get narrower and narrower. If it’s just not working out for you, back away from the computer for a little while and do anything else. I promise you’ll thank me.
