In what appears to be a bit of a “me too” announcement I received a press release stating that ThinkFree Mobile for Android will support many of the same features as the updated Documents To Go 2.0 product I detailed earlier this morning. The major difference at this time is that Documents To Go is available NOW while ThinkFree Mobile for Android is slated for a 4th quarter 2009 release at an undisclosed price.

The ThinkFree Mobile for Android product will support Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files and also include a PDF viewer. It will also work with ThinkFree Online so people can manage their documents across platforms and with Google Docs. I would like to see the Android platform natively provide more support for Google Docs, but haven’t heard of any work in this area.
